A few months ago I posted, on my facebook page, the Nails Inc version of their magnetic polish.
Such a fun idea and such a new/different effect. The nail polish contains iron powder which, when the magnetic is held over it, gives it the unique effect.
I got my hands on another brand called LAYLA- MAGNEFFECT, this one was made in Italy, after refusing to actually go and buy it myself. For months now I've been denying myself of the polish because I thought I didn't need any more.
Let me tell you, it is SO MUCH FUN! I did my left hand perfectly, but I had to do over my right hand about 3 times because my left handle trembles quite alot and I kept moving the magnet instead of keeping it still, messing up my entire nail :( Other than that, if you have steady hands then you definitely won't have a problem and it'll be done in a snap.
What you do is you paint one layer of polish on your nail (not too thin, not too thick) and immediately hold the magnetic top of the bottle very closely to the top of the nail for about 5 seconds. After those 5 seconds you'll have a lovely magnetic effect on your nails. Mine reminded me of waves :)
Another bonus is that this polish dries really quickly, so you might have to work fast!
Do one nail at a time :)
I bought the black/grey one but there was gold, pink, blue and glittery/silver. I absolutely LOVE it!!

Nails like the night sky *
In a previous post (review on SH Xtreme Wear Nail Polish) I mentioned I wanted to try the shade "Gunmetal", and that I also did not have a great experience with the colour "mint sorbet". I decided to give the polish another try but this time in Gunmetal.
I am so glad I tried it :) I love the shade by itself, although after a day or two it starts to look a bit dull. It truly is a gunmetal colour, however the pictures I took show it at a grey toned, metallic blue (more blue than grey). I just got bad pictures :( Couldn't get the colour to show up through the bottle. If you're planning to wear this shade by itself it is beautiful but you WILL need a high gloss top coat to keep it looking fresh.
Surprisingly enough it didn't chip at all, unlike "mint sorbet" which chipped on the FIRST DAY. On day 3, it wasn't at all chipped and I decided to amp it up a little with SH Xtreme Wear Hard as Nails Polish in "Strobe Lights". I pink toned, dual chrome glitter polish. I initially tried this shade on my toes on top of Essie's Sand Tropez...which by the way looks fabulous (less dramatic but still gorgeous)!
I think I have a new favourite nail combo:
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Hard as Nails in "Gunmetal" with "Strobe Lights" on top.

Cosmic FX! (Very late)
Orly came out with a collection called Cosmic FX a LONGGGGG time ago.
I managed to get my hands on such a pretty shade from the collection called Halley's Comet.
It's a gorgeous, sparkly blue/green! I want to say it's blue with green-iridescent sparkles or vice versa but this is just so hard to describe!! So I'll show you :)
In certain lighting it looks more green but with a camera flash it looks blue (and just blue with sparkles).
I have no idea whether it's still available anywhere but the one I got was the last one :( If you see it, grab it! It's gorgeous, sparkly and really distracting (it didn't help me study at all during exam time)!
