Black Track!!

MAC's Fluidline Gel liner in Black Track is the best black liner i have ever tried (esp good for winged liner and other precise applications) and it's been around for a whileeee so i'm sure many people know how nice it is!! My pot is still  has about half after almost 2 years!!
It's a totally waterproof, easy to apply, smooth, super black gel liner.
Just apply with a liner brush (i use MAC's 266SE brush)!!
It goes on so smooth hence the name 'fluidline', just apply, let it dry for a few seconds (since i have asian eyes it prints out on my lid if i don't let it set) and you're DONE!! :D
You only need a tiny bit because a little goes a very long way!
It's a very tiny pot but i'm telling you, once you close the lid properly, it will last forever!!!!
It's not tough to remove when you're ready and it doesn't fade :D
If you're looking for a liner that lasts until you're ready to take it off, is easy to apply, velvety smooth and you don't need to repurchase often: DING DING DING!!
MAC Fluidline gel liners!!!
I have my eye set on the gorgeous plum/purple one 'macroviolet' ;)

Copper Penny :)

If you're looking for a gorgeous brown...here it is!!
I'm torn between this and MAC's eyeshadow in bronze :( They're both equally as lovely.

Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Eyeshadow in Copper Penny!!

This is a beautiful, highly pigmented, slightly frosty brown with a slightly copper tint to it.
It looks gorgeous and is primarily used as a crease colour/outer V colour for me to do a natural eye.
It looks gorgeous with MAC's Rubinesque paint pot and Chilled on Ice (from their champale line).
It's so pigmented and it's staying power is great!! In my experience with it, it has not creased or faded and I haven't experienced any fall out with it. It's a bit pricey for about $16usd or about $150ttd or so. Either it's the same price or slightly more expensive than MAC eyeshadows here.
You can apply it for a natural day look and just add a little bit of black shadow to the outer V and blend for night time with some volumizing mascara.

Fav Lip balms/salve!

Both products are from CO Bigelow an Apothecaries brand.
This line has so many wonderful things! ahhh!!! Their mentha lip shines are a fav of many!

The first one I bought for my boyfriend. I had purchased 2 of the lip shines and i made him taste the original mentha flavour and he liked it but it would be weird if he wore lip shine since it's super shiny!
I went back to bath and body works and saw they had a Mentha Lip Balm :D No shine formula! This is prefect for guys!! It tastes great, freshens your breath and moisturizes your lips and tingles!! Or for those girls who don't like the stickyness of lip gloss or the shine. It was about $2usd but it was a special so i think they may cost just a little more. It's great!!

The other that i picked up is a salve. Rose salve to be exact. Rose salve on a whole i have heard to be a fav of many people and celebs. It's multi purpose as it calms skin irritation, moisturizes your lips, cuticles and any dry spots you may have. I put it on before i sleep because i have super chapped lips (like they're ALWAYS peeling) and when i wake up in the morning my lips are very smooth and soft. I hate how lip balm feels in the morning but this feels normal and didn't bother me at all when i woke up.
It has worked for me like if i get a red spot on my face from some irritation or another i just rub a little on it and it soothes it quite well. I've also massaged a little into my cuticles and it's great!
When someone asks if i have cream because they have i tell them to use the rose salve.
It's comes in a cute little tin, and has quite a bit in it too! I'm trying not to use it out because I don't know when i will get to purchase it again. I got it in the yellow tag sale in Bath and Body Works for about $2usd? It's usually $5 i think. It's just great and smells like roses, but it's not overwhelming like most rose scented/essence things are.

Ouu! Chantilly Peach!!

This colour is GORGEOUS!! Another hit from Orly.

About $35ttd in Wonderful World.
It's a beautiful pearl finish kind of pinky/champagne. I wouldn't really describe it as peach per se. It gives the nails a well manicured, clean and natural look with a tad of colour and shine (pearl). It just looks wonderful!
As usual, Orly is great and this colour is fully opaque with 2 coats.
It still comes out slightly streaky but nothing major. It lasts sans chips for about 4 days, but then again I massacre my nails when i work out so most likely it would last longer.
Just felt like sharing and giving you an alternative to the usual glossy nude/pink nail.
This gives the natural nail a little not so natural but subtle POP :)

Newspaper Nails!! :)

Just wanted to share with you all something i saw the other day. Not many people would come across it so here it is!!
NEWSPAPER NAILS!!

I didn't have enough white nail polish, so i used lilac (Orly's Dance Til Dawn)...any pastel colour should do if you want to move away from the norm.
Keep in mind, I rushed them down so they may not look very neat and some might be kind of smushed because i'm rather impatient. :D

What you need:
White nail polish.
Newspaper (cut into pieces so it's easier to cover your nail).
Rubbing Alcohol/Vodka.
Top Coat.

  1. First, apply 2 coats of white nail polish (or pastel coloured).
  2. Let it dry COMPLETELY!!! (This required tonsss of patience from me :( ).
  3. When totally dried, in a cup (any small vessel deep enough to stick your whole finger in) pour some rubbing alcohol or vodka in it.
  4. Stick one finger in and make sure the nail is totally submerged in the rubbing alcohol.
  5. Leave it for about 6 or 7 seconds to soak a little then quickly (since rubbing alcohol evaporates like mad!) press the piece of newspaper onto the nail.
  6. Make sure NOT TO MOVE IT or else it will smudge the letters (like it did on one of my nails).
  7. You can, while pressing down, take a cotton ball with some rubbing alcohol on it and coat the back of the paper too.
  8. Peel the newspaper off your nail slowly (because i had no patience i moved it and it smudged and i didn't really press down at the sides so some of the sides of my nails didn't get letters on them).
  9. Do the same for each nail.
  10. Let nails dry COMPLETELY and then apply the top coat.
  11. If you do not let your nails dry completely after applying the letters (which will be backward just btw but noone will notice that) upon applying the top coat the letters will smudge like it did on my index finger :(

VOILA!! NEWSPAPER NAILS!!

I didn't press down on the tip of my nail so some letters didn't come out.

Nostalgia! Pond's!!

Do you remember your mother or grandmother using this on their faces or on your face??

I was browsing in a pharmacy and i spotted it! I haven't seen or heard of anyone using this anymore. It's $21ttd for a small bottle and about $41ttd for the large bottle. I remember the days when i used to do ballet and tap shows and plays, and mummy would smear this on my face and wipe it off to take off the zillion layers of makeup. I know that some countries do not sell Pond's cold cream anymore, or they are very rarely seen. It's been said to be the secret to why your elders have such great skin. It deep cleans, removes makeup and moisturizes :) The only down side is the smell. It's sort of like citronella but not really :s Some people like how it smells, i like how it smells because it reminds me of when i was a little one. This was a staple in my house, at shows etc! Now it's nowhere to be seen, people have forgotten about it because there are so many products out on the market that "remove makeup, clean and moisturize". This is the old fashioned cult makeup remover and cleanser and some people still swear by it. Makeup artists in Paris and New York, when asked what they use to take off makeup and clean the skin, they say Pond's Cold Cream!! :| Not Laura Mercier, not Benefit...nothing expensive and complicated...but simple and affordable. Something that has been relied on for DECADES.

I however would not recommend just slathering it on and wiping it off to take off makeup and not washing off your face afterwards, as some people do that. I would tissue it off and rinse my face with warm water because Pond's Cold Cream, if anyone can remember, is VERY moisturizing, and depending on your skin type it may feel or be a bit too thick and "oily" (for lack of a better term). It really does leave your skin feeling soft and smooth and it gets off stubborn mascara!! People complain that it just smears the makeup everywhere...well the cleansing milks and makeup removers and baby oil i have tried all smear your makeup, you just need to tissue it off properly and not just expect to wipe and have it all disappear and stick to a most likely over absorbed tissue or cotton. GOSH. Some people even keep it in a cool place so that when they put it on it's very refreshing!

I got so excited when i saw it i just had to tell/remind people about it :)
FLASHBACK!!

12.1.11

Essential! Makeup Cleansing Tissues by Absolute!

Last summer my hubby and his entire family took me with them to Orlando and Miami for vacation.
The night before the flight we all took a trip to SuperPharm (our local walgreens/cvs) to get travel sized stuff and just random essentials for the plane ride and to use during our stay.
I didn't want to take my Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Milk with me since it's a really big bottle and i just wanted something quick.
I was browsing the isles and saw a green pack of wipes which kind of looked like Garnier :s When i looked closer they were makeup cleansing wipes by Absolute. It was around $29ttd for a pack of 30 wipes. They came in variations (green tea, cucumber and vitamin E). I picked up the Green Tea one and decided i'll give it a try.
I must say....I LOVE IT! It's super affordable and it's great for removing makeup or just using it to have your face feeling clean and refreshed.
The wipes are thick and soft and very very moist!
It takes off your makeup in seconds, though it takes a little more effort to remove the Paint Pots. They're extremely gentle and i have sensitive skin and had absolutely no reaction. It leaves your skin feeling fresh and moisturized. It's great!!!
It takes off everything, is gentle, thick, moist, you only really need one wipe, great for travelling, it's inexpensive and great for sensitive skin!!
Just thought i would share with you!

MAC Cham Pale Haul! (Finally)

MAC Cham Pale Collection launched in Trinidad on January 8th 2011.
I was on a budget so I couldn't grab everything i wanted to i got a few things.
I sort of want to kick myself though, because i'm keep thinking about a lip gelee but i didn't buy any :( and they're probably sold out by now.

I picked up:
Nail Laquer in Soiree
Lipstick in Gel (Frost finish) (permanent line)
Lipstick in Quiet Please (Lustre finish)
Paint Pot in Chilled on Ice (i wanted Dangerous Cuvee but they were sold out already!!)
Power Kohl in Feline (a re-promote)

I also picked up a blush that i've been pining over for a while: Powder Blush in Fleur Power.

I was most excited for the nail laquer!!! Soiree!!! What a beautiful colour! It's a frost finish (though i find it both frost and metallic) in a gorgeous rose gold.
I put it on as soon as i got home. It stayed on very well and lasted about until today when i spotted a chip (I expected there to be one since i'm in the gym a lot and for abs i sit on the palms of my hands). So i think it would have lasted a lot longer had i not ground my finger nails on the floor during abs. :s OOPS! All in all it dried super fast! It's very pigmented so all you need it 2 coats for the most, and i'm pretty sure it would last a week or more without any chipping. Now, even though it did chip (only a teeny bit) you couldn't really see it because of the colour of the polish.
The texture of this polish may not look totally satin smooth on your nail because of the frost but when it dries and you feel your nail it's actually smoother than it looks. I got no streaks and it covered exceptionally well.
It did, however, take a very long time for me to remove it but i thought it might seeing that polishes with this kind of texture a bit tough to remove from your nails (for example Glitz by Orly). I was very successful in taking it off by drenching a cotton ball in acetone and rubbing it back and forth over my nail.
Overall, I LOVE IT!!!!

Moving on to the lipsticks. I originally just wanted to purchase one (Gel) and a regular lipstick for everyday purposes, but i ended up buying two from the collection (and none for everyday...damnit).
Gel is a Frost finish so it's slightly less sheer than Quiet Please. They are both sheer lipsticks, with Gel having a bit more colour (gold/nude sparkle) and Quiet Please being a sheer light pink with slight shimmer.
Gel in particular would look fab with a tan!! (now just to get a tan :s)
I find both look a whole lot better with a gloss over them (be it a lip gelee or any other kind for example MAC's lustre glass in love nectar!).
Quiet please is extremely sheer and gives your lips a slightly pink sparkly (SLIGHTLY). It actually looks quite nice for someone who doesn't really like coloured lipsticks but just wants their lips to look a bit pink n shimmery. It pairs nicely with a pretty peach/pink blush and winged liner.
I must say, these babies last quite a long time!! They lasted through a whole day of lectures and eating and sipping from a water bottle! A+!!
Unlike most lipsticks which have a really disgusting smell kind of like wax and god knows what, MAC's lipsticks smell kind of like a Danish Cookie (well at least to me) which is great since i used to absolutely hate lipstick when i was younger because of the smell.
If i were to pair paint pots with these lipsticks i would say Gel and Chilled on Ice would go better together than if i used Bare Study since COI has a more yellow undertone. Bare Study or Vintage Selection would look lovely with Quiet Please as it has a slight pink undertone to it.
Ugh! I tried to get the best light, the actual sticks look lighter in person.

Please excuse my very vein-y hand :(

Paint pot time!!! My favourite products from MAC are the paint pots because they're pigmented (though not too pigmented), can be used a highlighter/eyeshadow/eyeshadow base/liner, are waterproof, don't crease/budge and last foreverrr!!!
I originally wanted Dangerous Cuvee but all sold out within the first hour of the store opening :( and we get such limited stock so you have to be quick!!
I tried vintage selection but i found it to be a bit too pink for my liking since i already have Bare Study (though different, they have the same pinkish undertone).
When i swiped Chilled on Ice on my hand it was sooo sparkly!!! :) It still has a slightly metallic finish that most paint pots carry but with sparkles!! I also found the formula to be a bit creamier for some reason, maybe because they had to incorporate sparkles into it. Regardless, I've already received compliments on it and someone even told me they matched my nails (i could see why since in certain light Soiree doesn't look like a rose gold but a champagne gold colour).
As all paint pots, it did not disappoint and did exactly what i love about it :)

Next, Power Kohl in Feline. This is a product that is not part of the permanent line but it re-promoted throughout the year with different collections so if it's sold out now, it'll be back!!!!
This is the BLACKEST BLACK eyeliner i have ever tried :| It's super black!
It's very soft (but not crumbly soft), creamy and glides on effortlessly without any need to tug at the corners of your eyes to apply it. It's very very intense!!!
It can be used for smokey eyes especially. I personally would not recommend using this on your water line as it is very smudgy and your water line is constantly in contact with the moisture/tears from your eyes resulting in severe racoon eyes within the first few hours (even though if you do apply it to your waterline and use it to tightline, the colour grips so you don't have to pass the pencil over it a million times).
Many may complain about the fact that this eyeliner smudges like a MOFO! It is very very blendable and easy to smudge, however i find that when i apply it onto my lids i need to let it set so it won't duplicate itself on the middle of my lid. :s But it does set!
If you are having trouble getting it to stay in one place apply a shadow like MAC's Carbon as a base for it to sit on, as this will allow it set more quickly.
The first time i applied it to my lid i didn't wait for it set and it printed out on the rest of my lid :(
It's gorgeous though and i love the intensity of the black and how incredibly smooth and easy it is to apply.
The downside for most as i mentioned would be the smudging.
The best use is for lining your top lid, i would not recommend using it on your waterline solely because of the raccoon eye effect.
I do love it though! :D

Outside the collection (a random pick up) is Fleur Power!!
I no longer owned any pink-ish blushes as i have mostly bronzers and kind of brownish toned blushes.
I've been pining over Fleur Power for months now but never got around to going and buying it so when i came in to pick up stuff from the Cham Pale collection i got that one time.
It's a pretty peachy pink. Very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I love it because it gives me a flushed look almost like i just came off a treadmill. It's a gorgeous shade for fair skin tones!
What i love about it in addition to the wonderful colour is that it stays on for the entire day!!
I apply a little to the apples of my cheeks and blend some back towards my ears and i'm good to go! A little lippy, winged liner and maybe shimmery shadow.
It's great for everyday and you can pair it with bronzer to give you a flushed and sunkissed look :)
I'm extremely happy with it!!
I tried really hard to get a good swatch of it for you (the swatches aren't heavy because i swatched about the amount i would put on) but the camera was having trouble focusing on that part of my hand :(
So sorry about the bad swatch photos :(

This picture shows the pink tone of the blush.

This picture shows the peach tone of the blush.
See how it just refused to focus on it :(

This effectively shows how much blush i put on (the one on the right) as i detest looking like a clown or looking like i have a pink stripe on my cheek, though it's about personal preference.

I STILL want to hit myself for not getting a Lip Gelee especially the one in Straight to the Head :( A beautiful bronzy sparkle :'(

8.1.11

MAC Cham Pale is here!!!!

I was soooooo excited for the sparkly, gold-ish really luxurious colours!!!! :D The things i didn't get that i wanted to get was the paint pot in Dangerous Cuvee (sold out in the first hour and a half) and the lip gelees :(
BUT i loveeee what i picked up. Dish soon!!!! :D

xx

7.1.11

Wonderful Bronzers!! (MAC of course!)

I've tried many bronzers...but i have two absolute favourites.

I have 4 in my possession right now:
Clinique Almost Bronzer (which i will talk about some other day).
Victoria's Secret PINK Face & Body Bronzer (which i like, and will talk about in conjunction with the above just to save space)
*MAC Creme Bronzer-Beach Bronze
*MAC Bronzing Powder-Refined Golden

So you can guess from the list which ones i love and use the most!!

Firstly, MAC Creme Bronzer in Beach Bronze. This was from their To the Beach collection (summer 2010) and is limited edition and therefore no longer available for purchase. I spotted it and tried it in Macy's FL but i couldn't decide whether to buy it or not and ended up leaving FL without it. It was ON MY MIND forever after that, and luckily my mum and dad were leaving for TX the week i came back home so i begged mummy to pick it up for me since we were sold out in Trinidad. It cost me $25usd.
It's a velvety soft, creamy, lightweight, sheer, easy to blend, tan/brown with golden shimmer!
It's not too sparklyyy even though it looks like it might be. It's buildable but it's mostly quite sheer so your face wouldn't end up looking dirty. If you think you applied to much you just need to rub it in and it kind of melts out til it's sheer again. It's great to give your cheeks a lovely glow, as a highlighter or just a light bronzer. I apply it with my fingers because i just think using a brush would waste a lot of the product by digging out a lot of it from the pan and because you can't really control how much you want to apply.

Beach Bronze directly applied & then blended out.

Now to talk about a product that isn't limited edition therefore available to all who have access to a MAC store!! MAC Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden.
It's a relatively large compact. I LOVE it and use it ALL the time!!! I apply it with a kabuki brush and it works really well. The colour (refined golden) is really versatile as i believe it will look equally as beautiful on almost every skin tone, but maybe not so much on darker skin tones.
It's a gorgeous tan/brown colour with slight shimmer (which you don't really notice, though it's not totally matte).
It blend out really well and gives you a sun kissed look and is completely buildable to give you a TAN look (though i tend to apply it very lightly and build to avoid looking like i have dirt on my face). You can apply it ontop your cheek where the sun hits, you can also use it to contour your cheeks, and you can apply it anywhere else the sun hits!! It's gorgeous and livens up your skin tone instantly!! I don't think i'll ever buy another bronzer!!

I have provided a swatch but it's sort of blurry, so sorry guys it may not be a very good swatch but seriously, it is a great colour and great product!! My absolute favourite bronzing powder!
A MUST TRY!!!

Yes i know, a crappy swatch :(

BEST silver eyeshadow EVER!!!

Yes, it looks beat up because it rolls about in my makeup bag!

For Tribe Carnival 2010, my costume was silver and i was searching for a SILVER eyeshadow to wear. Then i came across Platinum by L'oreal. They don't kid when they say "HIP-High Intensity Pigment"!!! It is SILVER, not metallic grey, not grey, not pewter....SILVER!
It comes with a matte black with a tiny amount of silver glitter sparles (which doesn't really show up) :s
The packaging is cute!! It comes with a sponge applicator (which i find does nothing)....but it opens at the bottom where you find the sponge applicator and a mirror :D
Not only is it extremely pigmented...it doesn't crease and it lasted me the ENTIRE day from 6am-9pm carnival monday & tuesday (for US and other citizens, that's 2 days in hot, blazing sun...lots of sweat and a whole lot of running all over the road). I couldn't believe it didn't fade!! I wouldn't really use the black that comes with it just because i don't find it's as smooth as the silver and it doesn't go on as pigmented.
It's available all over the US for about $8usd and in Trinidad in Superpharm for about $55ttd (i think).

I have tried the L'Oreal HIP eyeshadows in Saucy (which i HATED because the darker brown had so much fall out i didn't think anything went on my eye!!) and Flashy (which i love the look and colour off, even though you need to build the colour of the blue...and it sort of fades after a while) but the BEST is Platinum!!
It is SILVER, doesn't fade, doesn't crease, stays on all day, highly pigmented and it pops!!!!

Just thought i would share this with you. It's great for smokey eye and for CARNIVAL 2k11!!!!!

1st Recipe! Turkish Delight!

I haven't yet found a good recipe sans gelatine (the last one i made without it was wayyyyy too soft).

You Need:

2 Cups Sugar (I use brown sugar for the molasses)
1 Cup Water
3 Envelopes of Gelatin
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon flavouring (essence etc)
Nuts (optional)
Icing sugar

A lot of recipes for turkish delight talk about soft ball stage or certain temperatures and candy thermometers etc....something not a lot of people know about or have.
The following method was basically common sense? i guess? But i made it over 3 times and it works!!

Prepare 8 inch pan by lining with foil (bottom and sides with one piece) and coating lightly with oil or you can spray pam on it. This is to make it easy to come out of the pan and also make it easier to remove from the foil.

Mix gelatin, sugar & salt in heavy pot over low heat constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add the water.
Bring to a slow boil (leave it to boil/bubble for a few mins, 3 or 4 max).
Simmer without stirring for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in flavouring.
Pour into 8 inch pan very quickly as it dries in seconds.
Chill uncovered until firm (best is overnight but i'm not very patient so i just wait until it is completely cool and firm.
When ready, remove foil and with a sharp knife cut into 1 inch squares or smaller.
In a bowl with a fair amount of icing sugar, roll the squares one by one until completely coated with a lot of icing sugar!
Place in airtight container lined on the bottom with waxed paper, each layer separated by wax paper.

They do not keep very long so make sure to consume within 5 days or else they will get a bit firmer than you would want to eat :|

I use slivered almonds instead of the typical pistachios (you can use any chopped nut you like), be aware that they tend to float to the top when you pour the turkish delight liquid from the pot into the pan.
I also used Angostura Orange Bitters (a new version to the original Angostura Bitters...a product of Trinidad available world wide) to give it a very authentic and distinct orange flavour. It tastes like ORANGE....REAL orange. Typical and traditional turkish delight uses rose water...some people even put orange juice :s

Angostura Orange Bitters

Second batch (not all had fit in the container), usually looks super powdery with all the icing sugar but i was impatient with this one and it wasn't cool enough so it basically absorbed most of the icing sugar. *sigh

I hope you all enjoy this recipe. It makes a zillionnn pieces, as 1 inch squares but you can cut them smaller.

xx

It's Lipgloss Time!

There are soooo many lipgloss brands and types everywhere by everyone but I have a few favs I'd like to tell you all about :)

My absolute favourite is Clinique Longlast Glosswear spf15 in Guavagold!
It's a beautiful colour i think would suit almost everyone! :) It's quite a large tube too.
They come in 18 different shades and cost about $14usd and $120ttd (available in Senses Trincity and West mall).
It's a bit pricey but i think the MAC lipgloss costs around the same in Trinidad. The quality is exquisite! The colour is rich yet sheer. It's great that it has spf15 to protect your lips.
Now, to tell about whether it lives up to its name, i have a story for you. I get compliments on it alll the time, but the best one was when i was in school one morning and i pulled out a bottle of coke and started drinking while all my friends were talking. All of a sudden my friends screams..."OMGGGG!!!" and i jumped thinking something was wrong then i realized she was staring at me...my lips to be exact. She had noticed the colour and how pretty it looked since i walked in, but she was stunned when she realized it looked the EXACT same way it did before i pressed my lips onto the bottle and after. This stuff doesn't budge, unless of course you decide to take your hand and smear it off. It is a bit sticky though, but i don't mind that because it means it's not going to run or fade! :)
I love it...the colour..the spf...the fact that it lastssss!!!
This is a must have!!

Second is my Coach Lip gloss in 05 Peony. A wonderful, nude, slightly shimmery shade. :) I got it for Christmas, and got excited to see that it was Coach but even more excited when i swatched it. GORGEOUS!! It's great alone or over lipstick. I've also gotten tons of compliments on it and questions as to what brand and shade etc. While this doesn't last as long as Clinique it lasts pretty long once you don't touch it a lot (it stayed on even though i was drinking and eating). lol. It doesn't run at all which is great!!! As you can see, there's a swatch of it above with the clinique swatch. Like most high-end/designer lipgloss, it does not come with a doe-foot applicator but a small brush. I love the colour and the feel (it's not so sticky like the Clinique). I can't seem to find it on the website or the price but since it's coach it may be a bit pricey and unavailable in Trinidad. Though, if you can get your hands on it...PLEASE DO!

Third is MAC Lustreglass in Love Nectar!!!
This is a very sheer but glossy lipgloss. As with the Coach gloss it comes with a brush applicator. It costs around $120 or a little less in Trinidad MAC store (i'm not quite sure...will update).
The colour is (i know i'm saying this a lot) BEAUTIFUL even though it is sheer. It looks good alone but i prefer it over a neutral/rosey lipstick. The downside is that it doesn't last very long. In order for it to last you can't touch your lips (no eating or drinking!!!) or else you'll be reapplying a lot! Besides that, it''s a beautiful gloss, makes your lips look subtly sexy :p
I know i don't have a swatch up but i will include as soon as i can!!!

Fourth is Estee Lauder High Gloss in 10 Rose.
This is a gorgeous rose colour with small gold flecks/shimmer incorporated into it. I personally prefer it alone but i have tried it with rose lipstick on and it looks equally as good. It lasts longer than the MAC lustreglass and isn't very sticky. It comes in a squeeze tube with a slanted tip. It's quite pricey, but then again it's Estee Lauder (available in Senses as well). I just included it in here because the colour is lovely, though i don't use it very often. I do keep it in my handbag for a quick touch up when i need gloss!! It IS very pretty and the colour is just...natural but gives your lips a lovely shimmer (not glitzy shimmer or glittery, but a nice look). This, like the MAC lipgloss, i didn't do a swatch for but i WILL as soon as i can!!!

Lastly (this isn't going too much by ranking btw) i wanted to mention 2 great CLEAR glosses just for everyday wear by itself!!
CO Bigelow's Mentha Lip Shine (Original & Cinamint).
These feel so tingly on your lips :D and they're infused with pepermint oil (which explains the tingle), it freshens your breath, and they taste AMAZING!!! When i bought them i just put them on to lick them off again!!! yummmieee!!!
They're available only in the US in Bath and Body Works. I got them for $1usd each (yellow tag sale)!!
The Original flavour tastes nice and minty!!! (I love mint scented and flavoured thing just btw) The Cinamint tastes exactly like the name but it's more minty than Cinnamon. They give a nice glossy shine to your lips and lastttt too!!! The only reason i can't seem to keep it on my lips for more than 5 mins is because i lick all off before anyone gets a chance to see. LOL.
I saw a zillion other flavours like Lemon Mint and Vanilla Mint (which i hear tastes really good too!), rasberry mint and pomegranate mint. None of which i felt any desire to taste other than the Vanilla mint (but i love Cinnamon so that's why i bought that instead). I also spotted the Mentha Lip Scrub by CO Bigelow but i decided not to get it (that's before my lips started to get dry and peal from the fact that i hardly drink any water and seem to always forget to put on lipbalm...Another topic i'll be blogging on...LIPBALM).
If you come across it...GET IT...it's YUMMMAAAYYYY!!

Look out for my post on Lipbalms etc :) Found some nice stuff that have become my favs (some of them multitask too!).

xx
